We've combined the properties
of magnesium with the characteristics of ceramic material. Treating
hairbrushes with ceramic material is done solely to dissipate excess heat.
However, this type of treatment does have drawbacks. If you just look at
ceramic surfaces, their pastel colour makes them seem soft and smooth.
Instead they are very hard and rough, therefore, abrasive. If this coating
isn't polished after application the naturally rough surface would damage
the structure of the hair as it runs over the brush. We take extreme care
to ensure our ceramic-coated hairbrushes have a smooth, even surface. This
is why we apply two coats of ceramic plasma at 500° C to the magnesium rods
– the second coat is then polished before it cools completely and
hardens.
